In February 2024, Sudan experienced a 10-day internet blackout. This was reportedly triggered by the rebel Rapid Support Force (RSF) faction, which took over the control of ISP data centers in Khartoum on February 2,2024. Consequently, the nation was plunged into a state of internet darkness. The shutdown crippled the delivery of all public and administrative services, including financial transactions and access to media and information online.
