Mithilesh Pandey, a reporter for Hindi daily Dainik Jagran, was shot dead inside his home on Oct. 24, 2015 in the eastern state of Bihar. Reports indicated that two to three individuals entered Pandey’s home and shot him as he slept. His relatives said that he had received threats in connection with his reporting, which he had reported to police.
