Syed Shujaat Bukhari, editor-in.chief of Rising Kashmir, was shot dead by unknown assailants on June 14, as he was leaving his office in Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir province of India. One of his personal security officer was also killed in the attack and another was critically injured.
