Sean Kelly, United States of America

Stillwater, Okla. journalist Sean M. Kelly died on Jan. 30 after he was injured in a collision between the vehicle he was driving and a dump truck one day earlier. Kelly, 53, was the owner and operator of KUSH Radio in Cushing, Okla. and was on assignment covering a nearby grass fire at the time of the collision. Authorities said the dump truck was attempting to pass Kelly on a two-lane road and struck Kelly’s vehicle in the driver’s door when Kelly attempted to make a left turn. Kelly, who was wearing a seatbelt, was airlifted to a nearby hospital, but succumbed to head and other internal injuries.
