Sadrul Alam Nipul, Bangladesh

Bangladeshi journalist Sadrul Alam Nipul was killed on May 21. Reports indicate that the journalist was targeted after covering drug trafficking issues in his community. His family has said that Nipul was targeted for his work.

The reporter, who worked for the Bengali-language daily Dainik Mathabhanga, was found dismembered in a railway station in the district of Chuadanga, the Doha Centre for Media Freedom reported.
