Television news reporter Nery Francisco Soto, 32, was killed on Aug. 14 in the neighbourhood of La Conquista following corruption reports aired on his program Soto was a host and reporter for Channel 23 in Honduras and also hosted a radio program called “Cuarto Poder” where public officials were often called into question.
Local press freedom groups are calling for a full investigation and to not discard his line of work as a possible motive.
