Cameraman Mohammed al-Asfar, 19, was killed by an artillery round on June 26 in Daraa, Syria. It was not immediately clear whether he was targeted or hit by stray fire. Asfar was covering clashes between rebels and forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad. He died while reporting on an attempt by rebel forces to gain full control of the city in an offensive that began on June 25. Asfar began working for Al-Jazeera’s Arabic channel in March 2015.
