Mohamed Abazid, a contributor to pro-opposition satellite station Nabd Syria and the Syria Media Organization who was known professionally as George Samara, was killed in an airstrike on March 12, 2017 in Daraa, Syria. Abazid was reporting on Russian and Syrian military airstrikes in the city at the time of his death.
