Firas Mohammed Attiyah, a journalist for Fallujah TV, was killed in a bomb blast while travelling with a police patrol in the Anbar province town of Khaldiyah. Two policemen were also reported killed in the attack, while a reporter for Al-Anbar TV, Muayad Ibrahim, and a man identified as Attiyah’s brother were wounded. Attiyah’s death was reported by both the International Federation of Journalists and its Iraqi affiliate, the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate.
