Photojournalist Erkan Koyuncu died on Aug. 2, 2014 at the training facility of the Galatasaray professional football club in Istanbul. Koyuncu was on assignment for daily Sabah, reports said, when his head was accidentally caught in the facility’s front door. He sustained severe injuries and was taken to a hospital, but could not be revived.
