Somali journalist Abdullahi Osman Moalim died on Sept. 13, 2017 in a hospital in Mogadishu after succumbing to injuries he suffered three days earlier when a member of the Islamist militant group al Shabaab carried out a suicide bomb attack on a restaurant in Beletwein, in central Somalia. Moalim, 24, was present waiting for a press conference to begin at the time of the attack.
