Turkey’s media regulatory body pressures TV channels not to air footage of over-crowded congresses by the ruling AKP

Radio and Television High Council chair Ebubekir Şahin sent private message to TV channels not to air footage over-crowded congresses, which were highly criticized for being held during the pandemic at the risk of increase in infections. The Council asked broadcasters asked to show “empty streets” instead.
