Italian government suspends FOI deadlines during state of emergency

During its state of emergency in the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, the government of Italy suspended entirely the deadlines that public bodies had to respond to journalist’s official Freedom of Information requests. Many journalists complained that institutions have cited the new rules in refusing to provide information.
