Osama Jumaa was killed in Aleppo on June 5, 2016 by government artillery fire. Jumaa was travelling to the city’s Al-Mashad district to film the rescue of civilians from rubble following an artillery strike when the ambulance in which he was travelling was hit by artillery fire. As the ambulance’s driver, a paramedic, sought to treat Jumaa, the vehicle was hit by more artillery fire, killing both of them.
