Forensic reports indicate that radio journalist Donny Buchelli Cueva was tortured and killed in the province of Pacasmayo on July 8, 2014. His body was found at his home by a relative on July 10, 2014. The National Association of Journalists in Peru (ANP) said that authorities should not discard the theory that the crime was related to Cueva’s work as a journalist, as his recent reports had raised ethical questions about a number of political candidates running for the local mayor’s office. Cueva was the host of the radio programme Más Noticias, which airs on Más Radio.
