Mohammed Alqasim was killed by fire from unidentified gunmen on Sept. 10, 2014 while on assignment interviewing an opposition military leader in Idlib province about a bombing that had killed high-ranking members of another rebel group. Both Alqasim and his interview subject were killed in the attack. Alqasim was a correspondent for Syrian Rozana Radio. He previously contributed to Al-Aan TV, based in Dubai, and Al Jazeera.
