Russian cameraman Kirill Radchenko was reportedly killed in an ambush outside the town of Sibut, approximately 200 km northeast of the capital Bangui, on July 30, 2018. Radchenko was reportedly in the Central African Republic to film a documentary about a Russian mercenary group allegedly operating in the country. The motive of the killing is under investigation.
