Niraz Saied, a Palestinian photo journalist who was arrested by Syrian security forces in October 2015, has died in detention. His death in detention was revealed by his partner Lamis Al Khateeb in a facebook post. in 2014, Saied won a photography competition held by the United Nations’ Palestinian agency (UNRWA) with a snapshot titled The Three Angels. It depicted the downtrodden faces of three brothers waiting to be evacuated from the Yarmuk camp for medical treatment.
