Photojournalist Mohammed al-Yemeni was shot and killed by a sniper in the war-torn city of Taiz on March 21, 2016. Al-Yemeni had been covering the ongoing conflict between Houthi rebel fighters and forces allied with a Saudi-led coalition supporting exiled president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi. Despite reportedly having been injured by a sniper 10 days earlier, he continued reporting until his death.
