Shahba Press Agency correspondent Jomaa al-Ahmad, also known as Abu al-Nour al-Halabi, died on on Oct. 27, 2015 in Hayan in an air strike. Al-Ahmad had been filming air strikes on the area for privately owned media outlet Mamoun al-Khatib, when he was caught up in the fourth missile fired in a series by warplanes. Local sources accused Russian aircraft of responsibility for the air strikes, while Syrian government news agency SANA attributed the air strikes to Syrian government forces.
