Louay Sadiq Meshaal, a cameraman with al-Nujaba TV, was killed on Oct. 1, 2017 in a car bomb explosion in the village of Salman, in Iraq’s Kirkuk province. Sadiq was embedded with pro-government forces seeking to retake Salman’s al-Hawija district from Islamic State group militants at the time of the explosion. Al-Nujaba TV is linked with the Iranian-backed militia Harakat al-Nujaba. Some initial reports following Sadiq’s death identified him as Warith al-Shemari.
