Khaled Ali Hamada was killed in an attack against an Al Aahd channel crew in the Iraqi province of Diyala on June 16. The attack also left his colleague Moataz Jameel, a correspondent for the channel, severely injured. According to local police, unidentified armed men opened fire on the Al Aahd TV crew while they were covering military operations led by the Iraqi forces, the Doha Centre for Media Freedom reported.
