Dorian Mauricio Hernandez Pineda, a photographer and a producer for television channel GTR de Gracias, was found dead by the side of a road in Lepaera municipality in Lempira on June 16, 2016. According to testimony from people in the area, the body of Hernandez, who had been shot multiple times, was thrown out of a car. The motive for the killing remains unclear.
