Africa Media Monitoring January 2024: Threats to press freedom in Guinea, DRC, Somaliland

In January 2024, IPI documented 42 threats to press freedom in nine countries in sub-Saharan Africa. Arrests, detentions, and physical attacks were the most common categories of threats.
