YolTV correspondent removed from Health Ministry communications group after critical question of Erdoğan’s event amid pandemic

Yol TV Ankara correspondent Özge Uyanık was reportedly removed from the Turkish Health Ministry’s WhatsApp group for press after asking a critical question about Erdoğan to the health minister on social media. Uyanık’s question was regarding a high-level reception hosted by Erdoğan in honor of Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, which disregarded pandemic measures. Uyanık was initally rejected when asking the same question in the minister’s regular press conferences.
