Russian Prosecutor General’s Office blocked access to an additional 30 foreign media outlets within Russian territory over their coverage of the war in Ukraine. The block was carried out by Russia’s internet and communications regulator Roskomnadzor. The websites included Netherlands-based investigative journalism group Bellingcat, which had been carrying out fact-checking and open-source intelligence gathering about the war in Ukraine. Among other blocked were Ust-Kut 24, Caucasus Times and Estonian newspaper Postimees. The Black Sea Television and Radio Company was also banned. Other were ukrrudprom.com, newsme.com.ua, kavkaz-uzel.eu, nezavisim.tv, krymsos.com, bigpot.news, dynamomania.com, zvedeno.info, hyperboloid.info, vol.smipoziciya.info, allrus.news, newizv.ru, vesty.co.il, spektrnews.in.ua, news.bg, uazmi.net, 9tv.co.il, bukinfo.com.ua, zptown.zp.ua, objectiv.tv, noviy.net, novosti.dn.ua, minval.az, 123ru.net, permdaily.ru, ust-kut24.ru. They included media from Russia Ukraine and Bulgaria. The bans were announced by Roskomnadzor on March 16.
