On 20 April 2022, Russian authorities published a new list of 31 Ukrainian artists and journalists forbidden from entering Russia.  The ban is for a period of 50 years. Official comments on the move were not provided, however the decision seemed motivated by the public stance of those who were banned on Russia and on its ongoing invasion of Ukraine. The list included Ukrainian journalists Dmytro Komarov, Mykola Serha and Andriy Bednyakov, who host popular travel and discovery programs on Ukrainian television as well as previously on Russian TV.
