On November 28, 2023, the management of radio station Bohyeba FM, which is owned by a deputy government minister, in the Assin South district central Ghana dismissed Francis Arthur Marfo, known as Koffi Tuti, a news editor and morning show host. His dismissal followed critical comments on Facebook about the poor state of the road and market in the district. The radio station is owned by John Ntim Fordjour, deputy minister for education and member of parliament for Assin South. In the dismissal letter, the station said it was dismissing him for “professional misconduct”, however Marfo said he was accused of sabotaging Fordjour and undermining the ruling party.
