Poltava Region News Agency receives numerous threatening messages

The editorial office of Poltava Region News Agency received numerous letters from anonymous individuals which threatened its staff with criminal liability and accused its journalists of disseminating lies about the actions of Russian military forces in Ukraine. The most recent letter, received on April 7, said: “All employees of the Ukrainian media and websites that spread fakes and lies about the actions of the Russian armed forces on the territory of Ukraine and cover the Banderas will be prosecuted in the near future. No one will go unpunished”. The head of the agency, Yury Nikolaev, said the editorial office said it had received similar threatening letters five or six times before.
