Police in Dagestan arrest journalist Murad Muradov at protest against mobilization

On 25 September 2022, police in Dagestan arrested journalist Murad Muradov while he was reporting at a protest against mobilization in Makhachkala, the capital of Russia’s Dagestan region. The journalist said a man in plain clothes detained him, confiscating his phone and press card. Muradov was then taken to a police station. He was released 12 hours later. Police handed him an administrative protocol stating he had taken part in an unauthorized protest.
