The editors said in a statement that the publication did everything so that readers had access to objective information. “But our further work, in the current conditions, is associated with a huge number of restrictions that make it meaningless and dangerous. After the start of the special operation in Ukraine, the UGRAPRO editorial office began to receive requests from law enforcement agencies to remove previously published materials,” the newspaper said. The editor-in-chief, Yevgeny Lebedko, said in a statement that working under the circumstances “doesn’t make sense anymore.” He added: “We will not be able to give the information that would have to be given, that’s the point. It has become dangerous. We are afraid for our lives”. Lebedko has headed YugraPRO for five years. The online publication is one of three information portals (TyumenPRO and YamalPRO), which are part of the YugraMedia company. YamalPRO editorial board made a similar statement about the suspension of activities
