On 12 January 2022, a film crew reporting for Dom, a Ukrainian TV channel, came under Russian fire while carrying out reporting work in the village of Nevske, in Ukraine’s Luhansk region. According to Anastasiya Volkova, a journalist with the film crew, they came under fire when travelling out of the village in a police car. She claimed Russian forces purposefully targeted the car.

“We had distributed bread to locals together with police officers when the occupiers decided to open fire. It looked like ‘Grad’ [a type of self-propelled rocket launcher]. We managed to drive off and hide behind a fence”, wrote Volkova on Facebook.

According to reports, no one was hurt in the incident.
