Crimean Tatar blogger Rolan Osmanov fined over Ukraine war post

Crimean Tatar blogger and citizen journalist Rolan Osmanov was fined by Russia-controlled Kyiv District Court of Simferopol over Facebook posts he published about the murder of civilians and children in Ukraine. The court found him guilty of committing an administrative offense and fined him 40,000 rubles (669,24 EUR). Osmanov lanned to appeal, according to Crimean Process and Ukrinform report. The blogger was charged under Article 20.3.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the armed forces of the Russian Federation). The charges were for sharing a post by a lawyer which condemned the Russian army’s attacks on Ukrainian cities. Osmanov is a Crimean activist and citizen journalist.
