Víctor Hugo Benítez of Canal 5 de San Vicente said that he was deliberately hit by a car driven by the attendee of a secret party that the journalist was covering to which more than 1,000 people had attended. Benítez was treated in the hospital for his injuries. He said: “This person recognized me for my journalistic work in the city and hit me. They wanted to scare me.”
