On December 18, 2022, journalist Francklin Tamar was shot and killed in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The perpetrators on motorcycles shot Tamar at least two times, not far from his home, and he died from the injuries on the way to the hospital. Further circumstances around the killing are not yet known. Tamar was a cultural journalist and hosted the radio show “Konpa Konpa” and “Sábado Culture” Radio Solidarité.
