According to the Pakistan Press Foundation (PPF), Shan Dahar, a reporter for Abb Takk TV channel, was shot in his back on the night of Dec. 31, 2013 in Badh, in Larkana district of Sindh province in Pakistan. He was taken to the hospital where he remained unattended until he succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Jan. 1. Commenting on the case, PPF Secretary General and IPI Executive Board Member Owais Aslam Ali said that despite compelling evidence pointing his killing to his work as a journalist, the police report declared his death accidental”.
