Mustafa Mohammed, a Kurdish journalist with Ronahi TV, died on July 18, 2016 from injuries sustained in a landmine blast on July 13 in Manbij, Syria. Mohammed and another reporter with the station were reporting on the Islamic State group at the time of the blast. Mohammed reportedly lost both of his legs in the explosion and died after being taken to Shahid Khabat hospital in Qamishlo.
