Syrian Journalist Batoul Mokhles al-Warar, a broadcaster at Noor al-Sham TV channel and Damascus radio station, was killed on Nov. 3, 2015 by mortar fire while covering clashes between government forces and rebels in the Dahiyat al-Assad neighbourhood of Damascus. According to Syrian state news agency SANA, the journalist was killed in rebel fire on the government-held neighbourhood, which has been a frequent target of rebel attacks.
