Islamic State group militants reportedly executed photojournalist Ashraf Shamil Al-Abadi on Feb. 16, 2015. Al-Abadi’s relatives, citing private sources, told the Iraqi Journalist Freedoms Observatory (JFO) that militants had killed him, but refused to announce his death or hand over his body.
