Freelance photographer Mohamed Helmy was shot to death while covering demonstrations marking the third anniversary of Egypt’s Arab Spring revolution. A spokesman for the Egyptian Photojournalist Society, quoted by the Associated Press news agency, said Helmy was working for the Al Jazeera broadcaster at the time of the shooting.
