Mohammed al-Absi, an investigative journalist who reported on oil companies and government corruption, died in the Yemeni capital Sana’a after having dinner with his cousin on Dec. 20, 2016. An autopsy later showed that he was poisoned. The exact circumstances of his death remain unclear.
