Journalist Abdallah Azizan, who worked for the Yemeni online news outlet Mareb Press, was killed on May 29, 2016 while reporting on continued battles between pro-government forces and Houthi rebels in the Bayhan area on the border between Shabwa province in the south and Marib in the east. Azizan was reportedly killed by sniper fire from the Houthi side.
