Well-known Azerbaijani journalist and human rights defender Emin Huseynov, chairman of the Institute for Reporters’ Freedom and Safety (IRFS), will be in Vienna on Friday, March 9, 2018, to talk about the situation of press freedom ahead of the April 11 snap presidential election in Azerbaijan.

IPI Executive Director Barbara Trionfi and Reporters Without Borders Austria President Dr. Rubina Möhring will join Huseynov to discuss the role that international organizations and actors, including the Council of Europe, the EU, and the OSCE/ODIHR, can play in ensuring that Azerbaijan fulfils its commitments to democratic principles and press freedom.
