Mohammed Ashiley Yakubu, a photojournalist with Kennedy Agyapong-owned Net 2 TV, died on Oct. 7, 2017 while covering the explosion of a Liquefied Natural Gas station located near Atomic Junction in Accra. Reports indicated that Yakubu, also a member of the presidential press corps, was filming the scene from atop a nearby overpass when the jolt from a secondary explosion sent him crashing to the road below.
