Sayyad Najim Abdul Ajil, a cameraman with Karbala TV, was killed on Aug. 26 in the blast of an improvised explosive device. He was accompanying Iraqi troops as they attempted to dislodge militants of the Islamic State group from their stronghold in Tal Afar, west of Mosul. The journalist was alternatively identified in some news reports as Sijad Najim Ojail.
