Rudy Alicaway, 46, host of weekly community affairs program Tigmo-Tigmo on government-run dxPB Radio, was killed by two gunmen on a motorcycle on Aug. 6, 2017 as he was on his way home in the town of Molave, in Zamboanga del Sur province on the southern island of Mindanao. He died while being taken to a hospital. According to dxPB Radio’s manager, Alicaway, who was also a local councilman, did not cover controversial issues. The motive for the shooting was not immediately known.
