A journalist identified as Norullah, 23, was killed on Jan. 10, 2017 in a double bombing by the Taliban near the Afghan parliament building in Kabul. The suicide bombers killed at least 36 people and wounded 70 others. The attack targeted a minibus that carried National Assembly staff as they were leaving offices. Norullah was a TV journalist with the parliamentary TV channel Wolesi Jirga. Another Wolesi Jirga employee, Faridah Mustakhdim, was killed and three other journalists were wounded.
