Television reporter Nematullah Zaheer of Afghanistan television station Ariana news died on Nov. 4, 2016 in a roadside bomb explosion. Zaheer and other journalists were travelling to report on a police operation outside Lashkar Gah, the capital of Helmand province, when their vehicle came under fire. Shortly after police advised them to leave the main road, the vehicle struck an improvised explosive device, killing Zaheer.
