Telesforo Santiago Enriquez, journalist and founder of a community radio station El Cafetal, was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Oaxaca state of Mexico on May 2. He had received death threat during an on-air phone call in the midst of his programme. Santiago Enriquez covered corruption by government officials in his programmes.
