This report summarises the findings of IPI’s May 2012 mission to the Caribbean to urge regional governments to repeal criminal defamation and insult laws. During the nearly two-week long mission, IPI delegates met with representatives of government, law enforcement, media, and civil society in Barbados, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Trinidad and Tobago to discuss libel law reform and current press freedom issues.
